Genzano of Rome – Closure of child neuropsychiatry unit, mayor writes to Asl
Following the Closure of Genzano's Child Neuropsychiatry Unit and the Relocation of the Service to Albano Hospital, Genzano Mayor Flavio Gabbarini Has Written to ASL General Director Fabrizio D'Alba and Health Director Narciso Mostard to ask Them to Reevaluate The Decision in Order To Guarantee An efficient Service to Citizens.
"While I Understand the Difficulties and the Need to Optimize Resources i am to point out that the reorganization, as it has ben implementeramente, significantly reduces the service for the citizens of our district by lengthening waiting lists even more: suffice it to Think, for Example, that the Child Neuropsychiatry Unit in Genzano (Which Also Servary The Municipalities of Ariccia, Lanuvio and Nemi) Was Active Every Day and Had A Waiting List of About a Year, While the Unit in Albano Despite Having Absorbed Today An Additional Number of Users Receives Only for Three Days a Week, Guaranteeing Moreover Only the present of the Neuropsychiatrist Without the Help of a Social Worker. In view of the situation, we therefore believe it would be appropriate to reactivate the service in Genzano's "De Santis" hospital, considering also that just a few days ago our garrison also became the headquarters of the District's Single Vaccination Center.".
